Standard Efficiency Cat® Fuel Filters are recommended for normal filtration in all types of Cat equipment® Cat® Filters use a helical mandrel in the fiberglass and acrylic flanges to prevent the filter media from folding over as the oil flows through the media, ensuring that contaminants are captured and blocked. This is important when the engine is running and is especially important during cold starts and machine shutdowns. Pleated paper in the filter intentionally releases contaminants through the filter media to the clean side, resulting in additional component wear.
